Ellie Forsyth - Trustee
Ellie is a Senior Occupational Therapist with over 15 years’ experience in the area of paediatrics across both the private and public sector. Her work has gained her extensive experience in supporting children and families across home, school and community settings. Ellie was one of the founding clinicians of the Down Syndrome Centre, bringing Occupational Therapy to the centre in 2015. This was shortly after DSC opened its doors as Ireland’s first professional services centre for children with Down syndrome and their families in Sandyford. In addition, Ellie had an integral role in developing many of the services that DSC continues to offer including; Seasonal Workshops, Teen Groups, Youth Club, parent seminars and Sibshops. Ellie's personal and professional interests include neuroaffirmative practice, children’s participation in decision making, supporting access to education and parent support and well-being.
