Walk or run and raise funds at the VHI Women's mini marathon

The VHI Women's Mini Marathon is back for its 42nd year this June, and the Down Syndrome Centre is again asking runners to help fund the essential services we provide to the children and families attending our centres in Sandyford and Swords.

When you run to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Centre, we’ll be with you from start to finish with a free t-shirt, secure drop-off for your belongings and a prosecco reception when you cross the finish line.

Billed as the biggest women’s event in the world, the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon is a red-letter event in Dublin’s summer calendar, filled with fun and personal achievement. This year's event takes place on Bank Holiday Sunday, June 2.

And what could be more satisfying than knowing that running for the Down Syndrome Centre makes a life-enhancing difference to the children and families who rely on our services?

When children with Down syndrome receive the right therapy, educational and wellbeing supports, they can reach their full potential to have fulfilled and socially included lives through childhood and into adulthood.

So, please get in touch and we can guide you through the registration process for the mini marathon and your fundraising efforts in aid of our centres in Sandyford and Swords.

On the day of the event, we'll have a designated meeting point near the race start where you can drop off your belongings before the race. And after you cross that finish line, we’ll be there for a well-deserved celebration with prosecco and finger food.

To be part of the Down Syndrome Centre journey, just email rhona@downsyndromecentre.ie with your contact details and she will forward an information pack with all you need to take part.
