We are thrilled to announce that the Down Syndrome Centre has achieved Charities Institute of Ireland Triple-Lock status for administration and governance.
This certification gives donors the added assurance that we are observing best-practice standards in ethical fundraising, governance and financial management. The Down Syndrome is already compliant with all requirements set by the Charities Regulator.
The standards required to achieve Triple-Lock status exceed those required by law and there are not many charities who have attained this important quality assurance standard.
This achievement is based on the formal adoption of the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public, as devised by the Charities Regulator.
In addition, our adherence to the Charity SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) for trustees' annual reports and financial statements, as well as the adoption of the Charities Governance Code, further underscores our dedication to maintaining the highest standards.
Congratulations to our staff for working in accordance to the standards needed to achieve Triple-lock status.
